Cosmetic Face Surgery in Melbourne
a. Face lift
The aim of the face lift is to restore a youthful appearance by correcting changes of ageing caused by exposure to the elements and the effects of gravity. This leaves the facial tissues saggy giving a tired and worn appearance. By removing excess skin and tightening the underlying tissues, your face can be rejuvenated into a healthier, more refreshed you.
Cosmetic surgery to the face is done in hospital and requires sedation (“twilight anaesthesia”) or a full general anaesthesia. The scars are well concealed around the ears and hairline. Using newer, less invasive techniques the swelling and bruising is reduced. This means less “down time” which we understand is an important factor in making your decision to undergo a face and neck lift. Dr Donato has undergone training in newer techniques, such as the “MACS lift”.
Often the faecelift is done together with other rejuvenation procedures such as eyelid surgery or brow surgery.
When you visit the Burgundy Hill Plastic Surgery Centre a plan will be specifically designed to meet your individual needs.

b. Brow lift
As we grow older the skin of the brow wrinkles and the tissues sag giving a tired appearance. This also narrows the aperture of the eyes making you feel even more tired towards the end of the day or with reading. The skin and underlying tissues can be tightened surgically by incisions hidden in the hairline. The scars may also be shortened if the operation is done by a keyhole approach (endoscopic brow lift). Anti-wrinkle injections can add to the rejuvenation of the brow either on its own or together with cosmetic surgery.
At the Burgundy Hill Plastic Surgery Centre we will assess your problem individually and formulate a plan for your brow that best suites you.

c. Blepharoplasty (eyelid reduction)
Eyelids become saggy and develop bags due to weakening of the underlying muscles. The condition can be severe enough that vision is impaired. Usually, both upper and lower eyelids are affected.
At the Burgundy Hill Plastic Surgery Centre a complete assessment of your eyelids can be made and the best rejuvenation procedure worked out for you.
This surgery is often a day procedure that is done under sedation and local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic. Excess skin and bulging fat are removed and other eyelid tissues tightened to restore a more youthful appearance. Scars are well hidden in the eyelid creases.

d. Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping)
Many people are unhappy with the size and shape of their nose. This may have been present since birth or the result of trauma. Whatever the cause, cosmetic surgery can help reshape the nose to be more cosmetically pleasing. When you visit the Burgundy Hill Plastic Surgery Centre, we will listen to your concerns regarding your nose. After an assessment is made, we will advise how we can possibly reshape your nose to meet your desire. This may involve an operation to decrease the general shape of the nose or may be isolated to specific problem such removing a hump, narrowing the overall width of the nose or refining the tip.

e. Otoplasty (prominent ear correction)
Some people have been born with ears that “stick out” which leads to teasing and embarrassment from a very early age. Sometimes, only one ear is affected although both are more often. This is easily corrected with plastic surgery resulting in a more natural ear position.

f. Genioplasty (chin profile surgery)
Facial harmony can often be affected by a chin that is too small or too big. A correction of chin profile can restore a more aesthetic profile. This can be done by the use of an implant in a simple day procedure.

g. Facial trauma (including broken noses)
